Toilet paper was first used in China in around the year 1391. It is hygenic because fecal matter can contain disease and needs to be cleaned off.

Well all valley people don't know nothing about butt wipe.It all started with gramma mod she would go down the hill once a year and get 4 brooms 1 for each season, you all just stick in the the ground a little more than knee high too a coons lips and when yous all done rub across it, the women folk still have to use the front yard the way the coon dogs show showdems.

Actually using water to clean yourself after the deed is much more hygenic; no matter how much paper you use you just can't get as clean as with water in the end...

Many and many eons ago someone that heretofore had used their finger to fling off the excess picked up a morsel that tasted like she-he-it. A causal connection was linked. A light went on.It was an "aha" moment. The next time this happened they probably discovered that a leaf was a good tool fopr the job at hand.

Yes, it evolded fro corn cobbs and fingers which is definitely not hygenic

TP isn't perfect but it's certainly better than the method used in poor countries where the person carries a little container of water and washes himself clean with his hand.

BELIEVE IT OR NOT THEY USED TO USE CORN COBS (WITHOUT THE CORN OF COURSE) AND THEN PAPER FROM CATALOGUES ETC. iT'S ACTUALLY A RELITIVLY NEW THING. YES IT'S HYGENIC, IF YOUR MESSY BE SURE TO WASH UP WELL AFTER!

yes it is hygenic.. as long as you use it correctly... i mean.. in women... when we wash.... ... that's about it...
