Awareness events to host?

Need some ideas to present at a meeting of ideas that I could use to raise awareness for special charities or organizations. ex. car wash?... anything would be much appreciated

Get people to host coffees at their homes and invite their friends. It's quick, it's cheap, and you can raise a lot of money and awareness by talking about the cause for a few minutes. Any money goes directly to the cause, and you don't have to clean cars or anything!

If 10% of the average $907 that Americans spent on Christmas gifts went to children in need, 42 million children could be helped for an entire year according to statistics provided to me during an interview with World Vision.

This year, I conducted an experiment, and asked for donations to World Vision and Heifer.org instead of Christmas gifts. Many folks simply chose to give me gifts anyway, but many did make donations instead, resulting in $137 going to these charities.

I also have a website where I sell art to support these two Christian organizations. The next time you need art for your walls, please consider my website. My personal favorite of my own work is Sunset over Florence12. Recently my aunt (an amateur photographer) and a friend have donated some of their work for this charitable cause, as well. If you know artists who might wish to join this charity model, please send them my way.

-- u can use media like pumplets, posters,
-- give in newspaper
-- u can post on yahoo answers as well
-- if u have community on community website like orkut or myspace.com, u can upload there
-- u can create a webpage on http://pages.google.com and upload all the info abt the event and send it to ur mailing list, ask them to share it
-- u can prepare invitation card or just a simple invitation on paper and can give to local news paper distributor to distribute it to the adjecent areas
-- u guys can stand or walk by road having banner in which u stated ur invitation
-- through the word of mouth
-- place invitation on notice board (of school, church, mosque, etc).
