I've experienced both. (not internet you must be kidding) I meet people by meeting people. The Thai may not have been quite as interesting to hang out with initially but the affection and loyalty is there in abundance and she loved to laugh. The Russian lady was fickle and self focussed all the time. Also more uptight and conservative. I think they have so many p!ssed out vodka heads as men that they dont know a sober dude when they have one. Or maybe it was me cos I wont trail after a woman. Once youve had love Thai style theres no substitute man. Nice at 30 - 35 y/o. the one I know is doing fashion design. Real sweetheart but tough ! Advice ! Learn the culture a bit first or you may well find yourself funding all her family and if you refuse she'll be taken from you. Watch some of the Issan girls !! Go and meet women in person for heavens sakes.

Thai:

Hello:
Sa-wat-dee-krap (male speaker)
Sa-wat-dee-kah (female speaker)

How are you?:
Khun-sa-bai-dee-rue? (male & female speaker)

Are you fine/alright/OK?
Khun-sa-bai-dee-mai? (male & female speaker)

Goodbye (if you'll see the person again soon):
Sa-wat-dee (male & female speaker, same word as Hello)

Goodbye (if you won't ever see the person again, or if you won't see the person for a long time, like months or years):
La-gorn (male & female speaker)
