What about galaxies or planets? Or any other life form in this universe? What about other life on this planet, from all the animal and plant life. All things in this universe, from stars to people all are born, live and then die. Humans only live for an average of 80 years and even the shortest lived stars live for millions.

Life is considered as breathing, eating, and reproducing, etc.. Stars are just matter, no souls. The soul is considered the mind, will, and emotion. I do see this in some animals, like dogs and cats. They have personalities, and can learn things. But they don't have spirits. This makes people unique, in that being made in the image of God, we realize there is a God.

i don't see how we can consider a star a life form. its a massive ball of gas under tremendous pressure whose activities throughout its entire billion or so year existence is comparable to the center of a nuclear explosion. galaxies are collections of stars and planets and other matter, so if stars or planets have souls, a galaxy's soul would be the total of what makes it up, but can a trillion souls really make up another soul? i say not, but that's my opinion.

I believe they do: they live, reproduce, and die just like any other life form. Why shouldn't they have a soul?

I think they do. People have experienced telepathic contact with such souls in various transpersonal experiences (google Stanislav Grof).
