It does not matter where I sleep, in my bed or couch or recliner. This has been going on for about a year. I do not work outside the home. I have 3 girls to take care of. I was thinking maybe it was fibromyalgia. I know I have vitamin defincies since gastric bybass in 2004.

I have vitiamin defincancies from gastric bybass, my Dr. has done some blood work, my iron is ok as is my aic for diabetes, blood count is ok and so is my b12. I am sore all the time, more at times than others but always have an achy feeling. My hands swell, my right more than my left. It does not matter where I sleep. Couch, bed, recliner. I do know I am feeling a little better since starting to take vitamins on a regular basis. My doctor will not refer me to a Arthritic doctor. Why I do not know. I also have trouble falling asleep. Litterally. I can sometimes stay up for up to 3 to 4 days. That plays havoc on the family.

Go to doctor to rule out any arthrtic condition. Go get it checked out. I would suggest a hot shower to loosen musles in am. Mild stretching, perferably yoga moves can be done in the am while you make your oatmeal.

Hope - I have been seeing a chiropractor who is a muscle specialist (he uses an activator which makes things hurt less and can get the muscles to relax more easily), along with a massage therapist (some work on the lymph system which is what my guess is to help that first hour or so in the morning). I am a diabetic, have fibromyalgia and have destroyed my muscles before so believe me when I tell you that there IS hope.
Educate yourself by reading The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies. It deals with muscles, pain and referred pain and teaches you how to help yourself.
Many of the immune problems begin with a yeast over growth in the system. There are several products that are anti-yeast, anti-fungal combinations some work on more as well. All of them are designed to kill the bad yeast while leaving the good bacteria alive unlike anti-biotics which do not know the good from the bad. Go slowly the die off process produces gas, bloating and muscle reactions and can effect anywhere in the body that the toxins they produce have gone.
Build you system with pro-biotics, the best ones are refrigerated in the health food store and can be shipped to you if that is inconvenient.
Remove sugars - they not only make the pain worse but they feed the stuff that is in your gut that produces toxins.
Success to you.

My mother has Fibromyalgia, and you have the signs. You need to get a work on your blood and to check your Liver. Fibromyaligia effects the liver and makes your Liver work harder. The other thing I worry about is MS. You need to get checked out for both.

I wish you the best of luck

Possibly fibromyalgia. I know three people, including myself, that have this. None of us complain about swelling of hands though. Definitely seek help from your doctor(if you haven't already). Good luck to you. I wish the best.

It would be helpful to know your age. It sounds like arthritis, fibromyalgia, or perhaps even mononucleosis. You really should see a doctor soon because there are enough symptoms to indicate that something has gone haywire!
