I have a male cat about 9 yrs old. He doesnt bit on the chin, but does give a 'softer' bite on the hand when getting attention. He knows to not bite too hard. He mostly grips with his teeth a bit----but not in a way thats too painful. Makes sense to me since during mating----the male bites/grips the scruff of the females neck.

Cats an also bite to tell you they are tired/annoyed with whatever attention/affection they were getting----just depends on the body language.

No, this isn't authentic, i respect cats and dogs and all animals not because i prefer to be obeyed or loved or have extra note of for individuality yet because i respect animals and they have the right to be loved, respected, and dealt with an same as anybody else.

Yes some male cats do that. Our male Siamese does. We call it love bites.

My cat always wants to lick my face, especially my eyebrows. She also tries to lick my clothes. Cats groom each other when they are friends, so that's what your kitty is doing with you. He loves you truly.

Mine will give me a nip on the nose. I know he adores me, he insists on sitting in my lap and loves to be cuddled. When I sleep, he snuggles under my chin.

My parents' Siamese does it too. Chin, cheek, nose, hand, and arm. He also rubs his head against mine. But since i moved out he only does it every now and then. And when i first moved he absolutely refused to have anything to do with me. I guess he's finally warming back up to me. : )

It all depends on the cat

They don't bite on purpose. Actually, they have scent glands in their gums and they are marking you as their territory. U may notice other cats will come and "rub" theirs over the spot, its territorial behavior.

Male and female cats do this.
It's normal, and shows affection. It can hurt, but they learn not to nip too heard if you yelp.
We call them kitty kisses.
