Why don't blacks come up with their own Godly leader instead of following everyone else’s? Are black people too afraid to do something for themselves or was Elijah Mohamed their Godly leader?

This is not a question to stir up trouble. Actually I'm trying to stir up thought after all, this is BLACK HISTORY MONTH. What do you think about this topic? I'd love to know.

b/c there is only one true God and the only way to him is thru Jesus Christ. From what I have been taught, its the God who slaves prayed to and trusted to lead them to freedom, its the same God that gave Martin Luther King and many others the confidence and strength and foundation to fight for the civil rights of black americans, and I truly believe that it were the people who claimed the name of Jesus Christ who had the most impact so why would we need to create another God when we already have one who has delivered us and brought us so far?

Wow, do you go on when you ask a question. I am black & a FORMER Christian. How can you spout this? I mean really - the ancestors who were slaves from Africa had no clue who Moses was and had never heard of Psalms. They worshipped other gods, used Tribal wisdoms, c'mon. Lunatic Paul? What's up with that? I don't know what point you are making, or what religion you want us to follow. I cannot in good conscience follow Christianity. My ancestors did not believe in the word of YOUR so-called god. Their gods existed in Nature, with tappable rivers of energy running throughout the universe & they also believed in their own power & the powers of their leaders. Where did you find this non-sense?

If you did your research, you would know that the story of Jesus was present in Africa centuries before Rome stole the Old Testament tales and made all of the character's white. I can sit here and provide evidence that the story of Jesus stems from the story of the "Virgin" Isis and her son Horus. If you read books you would know that Egyptian mythology was borrowed from to create many Christian stories: i.e.: The story of Jesus and Mary, the resurrection of Jesus, and the story of Lazarus. I know you don’t read much but for those that do I provided some websites below. I hope it helps you see that the Bible is blacker (lol) than you think and different from what we all were so blatantly misinformed about.

uhm.....

did'nt most "African"-Americans come from a land where Islam was the religion of the people. Islam/Muslim is the main religion for most African Nations, that are not still under the influence/ownership of a European nation.

but yah..your scope is pretty narrow there on who believes in what above..India is not that far removed from the trade roads that came from/went into the Middle East (Arabia). Same applies to Africa.

Um, Jesus did not begin with white people and Christianity is practiced worldwide by a diverse variety of ethnicities. Same goes for Islam, Buddhism and Hinduism. Are you retarded or something? And did you forget that most religions started with Black people in the first place?

Just like everyone else, we can chose our own religion. That is why their are white Buddhist and Muslim.

My thought is that you do not care about Black History Month or you would have named accomplishments made by said people.

First of all, if you knew your history, blacks had a religion.

When the Christians came, they taught Christianity.

When the Muslims came, they taught Islam.

The Buddhism came from Indian to China to Japan to US.

People always have religion, maybe not the flavor you would like.

Well Dear nobody important,

I suggest that you do something significant
with your time that might improve your mind or help others in need.

You clearly have too much time on your hands
and they are in need of a good washing.

You are acting really goofy posting statements
like this one.
