The body that runs too low on water is like a car running too low on water. It causes problems like running rough and worse. The quickest muscle relaxer is a couple swigs of molasses, second a couple of bananas. I will bet and win - the muscles in your upper back, shoulders and neck are tight and if you were to lightly scratch or rub your head you will find places that you did not know were sore. Each of these is a knot in a muscle called a trigger point start with running your fingers lengthwise (if you can tell) several times, up to 6 times a day until they are not sore.
Starting with a massage therapist is good but also read a book called The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies for more information on muscles, pain and refereed pain (it teaches you more of what to do).

I noticed that when I wake up with a headache, it's because I've been under extreme stress, or I have left the heat turned up when I went to bed the night before.

Could be for a number of reasons. You could be hypertensive, sleep in an awkward position, have sleep apnea or have allergies. Either way get a check up if the headaches continue.

Some people call it a turtle headache. It it caused by sleeping with your head under the covers, or under your arm. You don't get enough fresh air, hence the headache.

This same thing was happening to me. I changed to a softer, not so big pillow and no more headaches.
