just talk to her.
you will find out if she likes you and get over shyness all at once.
the worst that could happen is she says no and then you just walk away and have lost nothing.
get some balls and talk to her.

aww the whole shy thing CAN actually work wonders with girls. It's depending on your age but I'll take a stab at it.
Are you friends? Do you have her number or e-mail address any contact info of hers at all? If so use it. If you know her number start off by sending her a jokey text (I can help you out there). If she replies, ask her how she is, let it flow naturally. Listen to all the details, don't forget them. it feels good to get things of your chest, then leave it a few days before you contact her again (to say hi or whatever), see if her reactions have changed towards you.If she's become much more interested in talking to you, switch the conversation over SUBTLY to your "ex" who you are very secretive about, but dumped about two weeks ago, come up with a reason you would do this to your fictious ex that fits within your charachter at school. See where the conversation takes you then. Don't lie too often, don't be afraid to try and pull the sympathy vote and at the same time, don't let her think you just need a friend to chat to because you're sad about it. Don't pretend you don't give a damn about your ex but don't let her feel you need her to pity you.
If she's someone you haven't really spoken to that much it's trickier.Make a passing remark if you see her like "nice shirt" something simple, then after a while ask for the time, when she tells you look into her eyes as she's talking, smile and say "thankyou" leave it at that.Look as though you're having a good time with your life. Laugh with your friends, smile more, if she's in any of your classes try and be the best at that class. Impress her but don't make her feel stupid. Always be modest.
Basically the great thing about the "shy one" is that you know very little about them, nuturally we're curious about you. You're mysterious and girls are noticing you. Maybe she needs to know you don't have to be that deflective all the time, and good luck :)

First of all, stop saying FANCY. Second of all, just walk up to her and say hi "insert name here" and say, how ya doing today? Thats how I met my gf. Yea, Fancy is only for the Heinz ketchup packets though.
