I usually text message my bf when I get home, just so I can tell him that I got home safe and thank him a few nice things he did during the night/date. By text messaging, rather than calling, it puts the ball in his court; no pressure on his side. I mean if he wanted to talk to me right after our date, he would call or text me back right away. If he didn't, he would call/text me back later.

To tell them you arrived safe at home, sure. To tell them you had a great time, maybe. But to begin a whole conversation, unless the bf/gf is up for it, or unless you guys REALLY have some things to talk about, that is too much

Yea, its cool. Me and my g\f always call each other right when she gets home, mainly to tell me she got home OK, but then we just chit chat, usually about what happened when I was at her house. The End

I'm trying to understand this...Your at bf/gf house, then you leave and go to yours...I would call and say I'm home...In our family we do that...My father was killed in a auto accident, so we all call and say we made it home and are still alive...We make others who visit do this to...

If you really like them and you know that they won't begin to think you are stalking them or obsessed then go for it! If it makes you happy to hear their voice and they fell the same there's no problem.

Do you mean, back to your own home? If so, then yes, if that is something you two have agreed upon ahead of time. Take care.

Well, maybe when you're first dating, and you're all in the "lovey-dovey" stage. After a while it might start to seem sort of stalkerish.

It would be nice. I always do that. It's nice to know that you're safe and sound. Also, let them know that it was nice to spend time together and you can't wait to see them again.

Maybe just to let them know you got back ok. But otherwise it might seem needy.
