Those bands hurt so bad! I know how you feel I couldn't bite for days. Braces are bad, but not as bad as the bands, and they only hurt for about a week after you get them on and adjusted for the first couple of times. Take some advil, or something a bit stronger like panadeine. I took the most pain killers i've ever taken because of those bands, I usually avoid pain killers.

Hi! What you have are called 'spacers' or 'seperators'. They are placed there to open space between your teeth so that metal bands can be placed. If you remove them, they won't be able to get the bands on your teeth at your next appt. and will probably have to reschedule. I have had braces twice myself and I am here to tell you that the spacers are by far the most painful. Braces are nowhere near as uncomfortable. I promise. Take the advil every 4-6 hours to help alleviate the pain, but try and keep them in no matter what. In the long run it will be worth it. Good Luck!

i have braces and they dont really bother me they are just anoying they airnt near as bad as what i thought they would be or what people told me they would be i would just suggest taking a couple of advils before each orthodontist appointment and advil will help now to.........also i drink cold ice water and that seems to numb the pain a bit good luck

yes, the braces will hurt, but you should get used to them... after a while. try taking advil, that should dull any pain.

OMG I KNOW EXACTLY HOW YOU FEEL!!! don't rip 'em off..trust me. w/e you do to interrupt the process will keep you with braces even longer. Just take painkillers and try not to think about it. After this it's not that bad...TRUST ME!

~it's gonna be okay, lol
