you really do need to see your doctor on this one. there are several things that could be causing this. the #1 thing that comes to mind is sleep apnea. sometimes durring sleep one can slow breathing until your oxygen saturation drops below theraputic levels. there is;
A) Obstructive sleep apnea: where the soft pallat at the back of the throat relaxes during sleep and falls down (especialy in persons who sleep on their back) and occludes the airway. your brain tells your respiratory system to breath, and as you have increasing difficulty, you are awakened slightly (not enough to be concious of it!) until you start breathing. this cycle can happen up to 2-3 times a minute. the result is that you never reach the restfull cycle called R.E.M. sleep. people that are overweight are at particularly high risk, but there are other factors also...age, any prescription meds, enlarged tonsills.
B) Central sleep apnea: where the brain forgets to tell you to breath periodically. not as common but can happen at any age level or physical shape. I have a 23yr old patient that is a firefighter and works construction on a BIPAP machine . or
C) a cobination of the two.
typically the doctor will order a sleep study if any of these are suspected. there is a verry good site at www.sleepnet.com that may give you more info. there are alot of things that can happen to you as a result of sleep apnea, they have a long list, most of wich you wont be aware of until damage is done (sometimes permanent damage) Good luck!

Feeling tired could be a LOT of things. If it's just mild, you may want to start with dietary changes- I've added B-Complex suplimet recently and it's made a huge difference in my energy levels & made it easier to get out of bed in the morning. But if it's really exhausted all day long, you should probably get a check-up from your doctor (or any doctor) just to make sure nothing's going on. Feel better!

calcium pills before bed or a warm cup of milk is calming. Also make sure your not under a lot of stress or depressed. Depression can really drain your energy. If you are depressed B vitamins and St Johns Wart work great. Sunshine during the day might help too.

Maybe a long hot soak in a tub, or a hot shower, before going to bed might help.
I suspect the tensions of the day might be interfering with your sleep on an unconscious level, and a hot shower/bath might be a good solution...

all the above are solid techniques, yet do not go away out a solid quantity of difficult actual exertion in the previous interior the day. actual exertion is a needed component of existence, and you in basic terms might desire to flow to the food market, or everywhere for that remember to work out the effects of folk who chosen to not save any variety of workout development of their lives. you won't sleep longer hours, yet you will wake extra refreshed. Get in a habitual of showering/bathing at night, save the comparable habitual, comparable time each night. heat milk works extra sensible than chilly milk, i think of that's some thing approximately making the tryptophan extra obtainable. stay away from caffeine after approximately 2 pm, stay away from alcohol, because it only interrupts the sleep cycle, and at the same time as you won't be "extensive unsleeping" you're actually not getting solid sleep. After lights fixtures out, there are numerous techniques to getting your techniques to get calm. initiate on the precise, pay interest to your scalp and the muscle groups in it. Consciously relax them, then flow all the way down to the neck, sensing and relaxing those muscle groups, then the jaw, eyelids, etcetera. yet another is to think of a white balloon on your techniques and with each breath, it extremely expands, pushing out the days' activities and concerns. yet another is to accomplish a little repetative psychological job, alongside with multiplication tables or typing some thing you be attentive to by coronary heart on your techniques, or doing sign language on your techniques. some thing like they Gettysburg handle or the Lord's prayer or desiderata, see you later as you be attentive to it by coronary heart. Calm, relaxing music might desire to be the trick for you, play the suited comparable songs each night. surprisingly quickly, the sensory, seen and audio sensations would be a solid set off for the sleep reflex. in case you would be unable to sleep, do not sweat it, get up, flow to a distinctive room and examine some thing uninteresting. i could recommend the upward thrust and Fall of the Roman Empire. I definitely have in no way gotten better than 2 pages into that one.
