If you're considering having a one-night stand, do you have to be physically attracted to the other person or you wouldn't care?

You don't have to be, but the sex won't be satisfying for you, if there isn't some attraction there.
I've always thought that the purpose of a one night stand was to have something hot with someone hot...

I have different standards for flings than for serious relationships. Bear with me here...this may be of use to you.
For flings (or one nighters) a guy would have to be really hot and I wouldn't care much about personality or other inside qualities. All you are experiencing from this coupling is the sex so the looks are all that matter.
For a relationship, looks matter FAR less and the emphasis is on who a person is, since looks fade anyhow and who a person is inside is what you'll care about 50 years from now.
Shallow....yes. But an honest answer.

Well the whole thing about a one night stand is that its just a physical attraction, not a mental one. So i would say you dont HAVE to be physically attracted to the other person, but if not wuts the point?

There should be some attraction if you are going to have a one night stand. That would only make sense.

I don't do one night stands, but sex now days seems to be a recreational sport so I guess it wouldn't matter, you know slam bam thank you man

I wouldn't have sex with anyone I'm not physically attracted to. It might be different for girls though.
