nope, we're the only ones smart enough to realize how boring it is.
BTW, what do you mean ANYMORE? we never did care about it. we're too busy watching real football.

haha certainly not womens soccer. There's a reason the WUSA failed. Womans UNDERWATER Soccer League. I mean, honestly, could it BE any slower? The men's game is coming around, but of course remember it was coming around with the NASL in the 70s and 80s then kind of folded for awhile... I don't think it will ever be as strong here as it is in most parts of the world.
edit: and Pele DID get the US excited - New York was absolutely nuts for the Cosmos but then the league folded.

America is slowly coming around. With the constant growing world of multimedia and technology I believe we will all be able to see a huge difference in how much Americans pay attention to and embrace this amazing sport by the next World Cup.

Popularity is growing in the US...ie, 60K at US-Mexico, Beckham, and Arsenal and Colorado Rapids going into a partnership...New soccer-only stadiums are being built every year...thanks Utah.

Not really. You have to understand what they are doing, to maybe actually like it. People in the US watch sports that they don't have to think about, like football. I love soccer and I'm really good so I like to watch international games so I can learn some new moves to play in the game for me.

I'm in the US and I care!
Trust me, there are plenty of Americans who care about the sport! (There are plenty more here who don't, but what do they matter?)
As long as there are those who give for soccer, as long as soccer is still the most popular sport in the world, as long as there are still fans, that is all that should really matter :)

I care about soccer. But we have four other sports that are taking up all of our attention that we don't have time to really care.

i think soccer is a great sport IF you can understand it... if you dont pay attention/understand the subtleties it will be a very boring sport to watch
but if you do its very beautiful
And yes know it all is right.. most Americans dont care about soccer

No, I played in college because I was bored. It's sort of fun to play but boring to watch. I don't see it ever catching on here. I don't care how many European stars they bring in. If Pele couldn't get people excited about it no one can.
