on the internet explorer browser, go to tools, then internet options, and you'll see a section for history
you can just click on delete history if you want to get rid of all of them, or you can choose the last couple of days to keep

Tools - Internet Options - Settings [History section] - View Files
This should take you to a folder like
C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files
Delete all the files in the folder.
CCleaner is, as already mentioned, a good option.

Just do as any of those 3 posters said....the ones who said go to tools, etc. Also in there you can also change how many days of history it keeps. Under the history box change the days to keep pages in history to zero. It'll erase any history you have at midnight, because then it starts a new day.
