same as the rest. it will look like crap. i have tattooed myself quite a few times when i started just to get used to tattooing and what was too deep or too shallow. you know, practice. every now and then i do it just to test a new machine, needle, or ink. everything is the same except if it is on your oppposite arm, you have to have someone stretch your skin for you and wipe off the excess ink. do your research before attempting, and not just on yahoo. make sure all equipment is clean (sterile). and good luck. it is not easy at all. i though the same thing before i started. it is very hard, and nerve racking. you are doing something that can either be a permanent piece of art, a permanent nasty looking scar, or an infection that could cause an amputation or even death. be careful. don't risk it. leave it to me, the pro!

Well I dont have my liscenses yet I am apprenticing but I give myself tats and I have been since about a year ago when I decided that i was going to tat for a living ..
There is no simply way to explain it. You half to have a gun obviously ... as for ink and needles depends on the gun you have is it professional or home made ... if home made how ....
You can design the tat yourself or go to google , yahoo , ask.com and look up flash and print it then trace with ball point black pen and then apply deodorant to shaven spot place traced design over that spot and press firmly ...
Um ... you tat like you draw but it is going to hurt ... course no matter weather you do it or a professional it is going to hurt. Any further ?s you can email me ...
Dont let people discourage you ...if you wana get to the point of getting an aprenticeship you need to get some knowledge of what you are doing on your own anyway ...
Hope this helps

Its essentially ink pushed deep into the skin.
Some people would use needles and india ink. Others use graphite and the tip of a knife.
There are lots of cultures that tattoo with tools found only in tribal cultures. You can find info on these on the internet.
Personally, I still like my professional artist.
Good luck!

I know a tattoo artist that has done almost all his own work on his left side of his body. He is awesome! If I were you, I would read up on doing it yourself to make sure you use all the correct materials.
Good Luck!

I've heard of it being done by either burning or cutting the skin, and then rubbing ash mixed with animal fat into the wound.

Very immature to give yourself a tattoo. It would not look good at all.

I'm not your mother but it would look better if someone else did it. Also you need a needle machine and ink and might wanna practice on somewhere not visible
