That my friend, is an excellent question. It does seem that some questions are easily answered by just doing a simple search.

In all honesty- some people are just new to Yahoo Answers- I say SOME- when I first found this site (which was only about a month ago)I asked questions too that I later went back and realized 20 people had asked prior to me. So give poeple a break- you can tell by how many answers and questions someone has asked if they are new to this or not- I sometimes reask a question because the answers were not exactly what I was looking for even doing the research. But I agree certain facts that aren't going to change could be researched in other forums.
Keep in mind that there are alot of new people here- and a lot of young ones that want the attention-
Ok- Gonna go ask how tall the Empire State Bldg is so gotta go- LOL

What a beautiful question!!! Many questions are fact based, like where is Mt Everest....ummmm google it! Other people need opinions from those with experience in something, and that is how Y!Answers has been most helpful. But thanks for asking and look forward to the replies.

I guess they're trying to save time by getting the answer from somone that knows it, without having to look it up.
