The guy i like is making me mad..now i know he likes me but he's holding out for another girl who is "single" right now but she's all over her x boyfriend and everybody knows she'll never go out with him..but my question is...should i just take matters into my own hands and ask him out myself...?

He is obviously not in to you right now. Be his friend and wait until he realized the other girl is not going to go out with him. He needs to find that out on his own, if you discourage him he will not want to hear it. Mabye if you stand by him through this he will appreciate you more.

Why not? You know that there are really only two possibilities: either he comes to his senses and goes out with the girl who's available, or he keeps after the unavailable one and says no to you. In either case, you aren't losing anything. Go for it.

I think you should tell him that he shouldn't be into the girl who is still seeing her Ex-boyfriend. You could just convince him to just hang out with you.. And it might get his mind off of that other girl.
So yeah, ask him out for a evening..

I'm not exactly sure how he likes you and is chasing another girl. Don't ask him out because if he wants another girl you may just get hurt.
