A vet is not enough.

In my opinion, I love the idea of protecting and enhancing the life of a species that I care about by being a veterinarian. The pay isn't half bad either.

Dog grooming pays very well--more or less depending on the area in which you groom. However, you aren't making a difference in a dogs life and you find that you are virtually powerless to help them when owners allow them to get grossly matted or neglect them by getting them groomed once a year and then leaving them outside by themselves all day.

Dog breeding to me is morally reprehensible. There are too many dogs in the world who need homes and too few good homes in the world besides.

Dog training pays extremely well, especially if you build your clientele and freelance. It also requires little to no schooling if you do not desire to be accredited, and allows you to commit as little or as much time to the species as you choose.

These are just some things to think about. Hope this helps.

i want a job working with animals as well. i'd tried shelters in my area but they don't hire often and don't pay squat. you'd be better off starting a grooming bussiness. if your lucky you may be able to find a groomer who will train you or just let you help out to see if that career suits you. other than that maybe a obediance class? or some other form of dog training all tho i haven't a clue what those people get paid. or maybe find a good pure bred dog you love and start your own kennel thats what we are doing. check out our website

I used to be a vet tech..bad money
Though about being a vet for a long time...still bad money

Now I'm a groomer...I make more money per year than the veterinarian that I used to work for.

I love being a groomer, its fun, and i make good money.

Becoming a vet is probably the first that comes to mind.

Behaviorist/Specialty dog trainer. This isn't your basic obedience stuff.... think The Dog Whisperer...

Vet, or training them. Rich people pay you lots of money to train their dogs.

LMAO people work with dogs for the love of it, therefore there is no necessity for it to pay well as there are plenty of people waiting to fill the job.
