is it worth $159 to get this one and see if it might be able to be altered? it's just a size too small

Wow! What a stunning dress, and especially for 159 bucks! have you tried checking inside for a label of any kind? Maybe if you find a company name, you could search for them on the net and contact them with the pictures. What about taking the pictures to a few local bridal boutiques and asking if they know?
For price, I would honestly be tempted to buy it anyway and see if you can get it altered. And if not, it's not that much. You could probably sell it for the same amount or more on e-bay.

My dress was very similar to that, the way it wraps around in the front, and it was a size too small. It was no problem to let it out a size. You just need to make sure it hasn't already been done. Find a good seamstress and see if she will go with you and look at it before you buy it. That way you are not stuck with the dress if it can't be altered.

I would totally spend the $159 to get it. It probably can be altered by adding just a little more fabric. Or, get one of those body suck-in things. That is a beautiful dress, I wouldn't pass it up!

I had a picture of a dress that I wanted for my wedding and couldn't find it anywhere and I went on eBay and found several sellers that make custom made wedding dresses, most are made in china. I ordered my dress and had it custom made to fit my measurements and the exact style that I wanted and it turned out beautiful. I would suggest starting there, ask the sellers a question and then forward them a picture of the dress to see if they can give you a quote on how much it will cost you. It's a beautiful dress, but I don't think I could mention any place that you haven't tried. One thing-look in Bride Magazine-there are hundreds of dresses in there.
Depending on your budget, perhaps you could hire someone to make it for you?
You have great taste, and I truly hope you're able to wear that beautiful dress.

i absolutely love this dress!! i dont know a lot about dresses, but i think if it is just one size too small and no more, you could probably get it altered. That is if you went to a good seamstress. GoodLuck&BestWishes

get the name of the dress and style number and take it to a bridal shop. They will be able to help you.

buy some bridal magazines and start flipping thru them or go to www.theknot.com and do a search there
or have someone make it for you using those pics
