Ok...i live in california n everyone is like filthy rich! I swear they dont know what to do with their mony so they just spend it on drugs like weed, and also alcohol ALOT OF ALCOHOL!!!! Unfortunetly im a part of that! :(. U kno wat im only i a freshman in high school! Is it just like this in Cali or everywhere else too??

You are going down a hard path, especially so young! There was a lot of drugs and alcohol around when i was in high school( near Washington DC). Find a good friend and make a pact together to stand up against peer pressure. When the two of you go out, you will always have each other and wont be the only ones not doing it, whatever it may be. Trust me, you wont regret not getting involved in that stuff later.

I agree with many of the answers that state that drug and alcohol abuse is everywhere. However, being a native Californian who has lived all over the country, I would say there ARE in fact some differences to this scene in CA. Much of what is frowned upon in other parts of the world is somehow deemed one's divine right and even "good and progressive" in the golden state. Thus the principal difference in CA is that much self-destructive activity carries with it a sense of legitimacy that it is not accorded elsewhere. Beware of this!

I live in southern Cali and I have never had that problem so maybe its just were you live. Don't do it if you don't want to. Some of my friends drink and smoke around me but they don't offer and I don't ask (except for a drink now and again). Sometimes I'll get on them about it and tell them how unhealthy that is but its there life and its your life, do what you wanna do bcuz they will too. Don't let nobody force or pressure you into doing something that you're not comfortable with

nothing about that girl sounds nice....I say dont hang around them, you dont want to ruin your life by doing that stuff, and they will continue to pressure you if you continue to hang around them there is no way to reach your dreams if you choose to do drugs, it's kinda like those anti-meth commercials, not even once. The sad thing is most people dont understand that doing something like drugs even once is a devastating thing, not to mention addicting. Also at 13 you are way too young and unexperienced to comprehend how much something that seems so minor as doing something once can affect you. I'm 17 and I have only touched the surface of my understanding of the abstractness of my future. Even if you do not choose me as the best answer I certainly hope you follow my advice.

Drugs and alcoho lare everywhere. You don't have to be drawn under by them though. They are both for LOSERS. Where will YOU be in 10 yrs. w/out them and I shudder to think where they will be in 10 yrs. with them. Probably dead. OR in jail.
Either way, it is a NO win situation.

usually people that do drugs and alchohal dont have money, amd thats where their money all goes to. At least thats how it owrks in canada.
