I am italian and a TOTAL sauce snob and I have had nothing but good luck with the Classico brand. I really think it has a well balanced flavor and I think it tastes quite close to homemade. I typically buy the triple mushroom flavor, but I have tried others, all with pleasing results.

Emeril (from the cooking show) Vodka Sauce. It's a very rich sauce. I was amazed by it the first time I tried it. Every friend I recommend it to, LOVES it. . .

I like Classico Tomato and Basil. I saute my own veggies in olive oil (carrots and mushrooms, usually) and add them to the basic sauce.

Barilla...all are good...try Vodka Sauce for a change or alfredo if yu like, but all are good. Not too salty not too much sugar. Fresh taste and not too expensive.

I like Prego. It's really chunky.
But nothing beats homemade. Look up a recipe.

Try the South Philly Sunday Gravy if you can find it. Otherwise, anything Emeril's makes is really good...

One of the most common ones is Prego. Plain is best.
