That's nice, but no, it doesn't matter. What does matter is what kind of car, your ZIP code where it's parked at night, how many miles on it, your intended use and the number of miles you will put on it, your driving record (any tickets or accidents?) and your credit rating.
Some things you can't change. Boys pay more than girls. Some things you can. A Ford Taurus will be less than a Ford Mustang.
Good grands can earn you a discount.

You will be charged inexperienced operator rates for the first three years that you drive.
In simpler terms...go get a job...NOW...you will need it. Insurance for young drivers is almost double what it costs for experienced drivers.
Your teacher's and employer's recommendations unfortunately do not count for anything. You have to deal with the jacked up rates just like the rest of us did.
I worked two jobs in high school to make my car payment and pay my own insurance. Just don't get any tickets and don't get into any accidents and when you turn 19, those inexperienced rates will drop right off.
Good luck

Grades = B average. Show your insurance agent your grade report. STEER CLEAR program by STATE FARM. It is a manual with a video that you watch in your own home on your own time, and it has a booklet of questions to answer. Turn that in. Using none of the above (full coverage) about $120. Good grades- knock off 15%, STEER CLEAR knock off another 15%. Liability would take down a lot. A female is cheaper yet. This is monthly. We have it set up to pay monthly, under my name. That's cheaper, too.
