I want someone I can never have........it's depressing?

I like this guy, ok. He is 27 years old. I'm 12. I don't know him personally but he lives in my city and he plays on the Buffalo Sabres. His name is Maxim Afinogenov. I know, that I can never like date him because of the age differences but I hate that. I don't just like him for his looks (even though he's majorly hott.) If you were to look up "Afinogenov" on the Y!A Search bar something by Alyssa P (she's my sister) would come up that says "Is Max Afinogenov a virgin?" Well I told her to write that as a joke I didn't think she'd actualy ask.
Anyway,
I REALLY WANT TO DATE HIM BUT I KNOW THAT IT JUST CAN'T HAPPEN AND THAT HURTS ME INSIDE!!!! It's not just "a cute little crush" this IS MAJOR!!!!! I know it can never happen but it just annoys me! Is it ok to have strong feelings like this? (Even for a 12 your old to have feelings like this for a 27 year old?)

hey sweetie. wow, buffalo that's awesome. i live around the corner in Toronto. Maxim is one heck of a great hockey player and one great athelete. and yes he is cute.

i don't think he would be a virgin, but you never know.. i think he is actually dating a women's tennis player named Elena Dementieva.

i remember when i was a teen and i used to have huge crushes on some female atheletes. i actually wrote them letters! it was quite cute. i had a huge crush on tennis player Jennifer Capriati and i found out where to write her and she actually sent me back a letter and an autographed pic.

you could try writing Maxim at the sabres arena but you have to be realistic about the fact that yes, your age difference is the issue.

bottom line, it's normal to have crushes on atheletes. and yes, i used to obsess so much and feel depressed too..

while it's ok to think about him some of the time, try to focus your thoughts on other things. you need variety in life.. spend times with family and friends and ejoy your hobbies and interests..

and you never know, a few years older, you might get boys at school asking you out on dates.. you don't want to have to pass those up because of depression for a hockey player you can't have.

but yah, i feel your pain. i have loved so many women that i can't have.. some were atheletes and some were just regular friends.

anyway, it's just good to talk out your feelings sometimes.. so hoepfully you feel better having gotten this off your chest and posted it here..

first of all your 12 hes 27 the only thing taht he goin to want with you is sex and im tellin you at 12 there is no way that you will live that down right no there is a girl in my family that wanted to have a relationship with a man that was 25 and she thought that he liked her too and now she is pregnant(she is 11) oh yeah and if you think that gettin pregnant wil make him stay it wont he will leave and when your parents find out (if they dont beat you to death) they will press charges on him and he will be in jail and then you will never see him. and you will be a single parent trin to go to school and a job and take care of a baby belieave me i have a job school and a baby a 1 year and i am 19 and it is hard he will only want you for sex and when he gets it he will be gone. just walk away and suround urself with friends tv junk food do what normal 12 year olds do please take my advise and just be 12 not 20.

the rolling stones sang a song called 'you can't always get what u want' - and that is just not true. if u set your goals to be reasonable, the world is yours. but it takes hard work and u must earn it. see i am in a war right now with my gf, its been like this from day one only back then she wouldn't tell me why she needed to fight me but would always imply, its for the better. now i know why, and understand why she feels frightened and worried about how i will react to her shifts - and i tell her, man, after what we just went thru, and now the i understand and have changed - this will be a piece of cake and actually we are facing the best opportunity we ever had - i've tried for 4+ years to convince her she is THE ONE and she just refuses to hear me - she thinks i will hurt too much because when she left me i sobbed like a chickenboi - but that was also depression and addiction and a sign to her how deeply i love her - freaked her out anyways - lol. so, now, she has to think about issues that she can't let go and should because they are toast [porn, chat, temper, finances, lies, etc.], her worrying about hurting me because of illness and past [please!] and the fact that what happened has changed how she views me - and thro all this we still fight for each other - THAT'S SOME WOMAN - i think i will marry her.

I've had that before. It hurts and you can't do anything about it. Luckily, This Max guy isn't the only hot/nice/caring/sweet/romantic fish in the sea. Just try, for a day, to find another extraordinairy guy. If you still love him, well, only 7 years until you're not a minor anymore!

Most people go through through crushes. I know it might seem pretty serious to you but you'll get over it. Everyone does. Don't be depressed, you're 12, that's way to young to be depressed. Save that for when you're in your mid-teens. As I said though, it's just a crush and don't let it get to you. A few years from now you'll probably be able to laugh about it. Hang in there!

lol I was kinda the same way when i was your age.
But I was in love with an Actor named Hayden Christensen.
I loved him sooo much and I would fantasize about him and I started planning my wedding and naming the kids.
But as you get older, you see guys around you that you can actually have. I still love Hayden though. lol but I try to go for guys that Are right there and more my age. lol
