Olympus Stylus 600 is probably the best brand followed by the Samsung S500.

The S500 has the most bang for the buck and isn't a bad camera, but the Olympus might be more reliable.

The Olympus, however, will cost you far more for memory and I don't know if that one has optical zoom or not.

Don't -- I REPEAT -- DON'T get the Concord!

The HPs are unrelaible. Too many of them overheat and burn out batteries too fast.

I prefer to shoot with Nikon. I like the way their menus are set up and all Nikon lenses fit on any Nikon camera, even if they are older models from 35mm. this lens aspect is the same with Canon, all canon lenses fit with canon bodies. If you are in the market for something expensive and professional look into the new Nikon D200. I have the Nikon D70s which works really well, but if I were to get something new, i would get the D200.

I don't know what price range store will exchange it for; but check out Canon cameras. If store doesn't have Canon, look at Fugi cameras.Consider the Sony SyberShots.

Like answer 2 my favourites are Sony's Cybershot and Canon's powershot. They are tested, stylish and user friendly. Check out my favourites at http://www.geocities.com/lcming/cameras
