How sad! This story is so tragic!

I would think each child had a soul. I don't know if the larger twin survived or not; if she did, she has only one soul. Identical twins each have a soul, whether they are conjoined or not.

I've seen this before, once in it's entirety, and another time I started to watch it on tv, but was so disgusted by the doctors that I switched it off. It made me sick that they thought the mother wouldn't be able to handle it, but called a press photographer to take a picture of Manar for money BEFORE they even let the mom or dad see Manar. The father found out from the newspaper! In America, that would be grounds for a lawsuit, and rightfully so, because the doctor has NO business doing that. The doctors in the interview were laughing about this! They saw NOTHING wrong with letting some stranger INTO the NICU!!! Where everything is supposed to be secure and sterile! Did the doctors give the money from the photograph to the parents? I doubt it.
Anyway, to answer your question... I think the two babies (for I consider them to be two) each had a soul. But that is just what I THINK. After all, we would presume that mentally retarded people have souls (why wouldn't they? they are people), so the parasitic twin, using that logic, would also have a soul. The thing is, only God knows.
