I have had a hard time learning other languages, but still want to try. However, I think it best that I start with the easier one. Your opinion is much appreciated.

Personally, I would say that Spanish is more difficult. But that could come from the fact that I LOVE ASL! and don't have any desire to speak Spanish. I have taken 3 semesters of ASL and it's not easy. The sentence structure is totally different from English. I guess it really depends on the person! :)

Although German is technically a closer relative to English than Spanish, many people find that Spanish is easier. (This has to do with the heavy influence of the Romance languages during the history of English.) Don't be fooled by ASL's not being spoken out loud. It's still every bit as complicated and difficult as any other language.

Try German. It's a relatvie of English.
