I am 40 and recently single. I am really not into going to clubs or bars anymore to look for men. Where do you go to meet people? Also has anyone had success with meeting anyone on e-harmony or any of those on line dating services?

For all you people out there who think women over 40 need to compete with the younger women. We don't have to compete, alot of us are still hot!! I feel I am. I might not be 25, but I still have alot to offer someone. I look great for my age and I am alot wiser then someone younger.

Everyone I know who tried eHarmony hated it. I tried it when I first moved to a new area, and I hated it. I wasn't remotely attracted to even one match. I know relationships are't just about looks, but honestly I didn't feel even remote interest.
Anyway, the best way to meet people of the opposite sex is to be active. Go out and do the things you enjoy. If it is hiking, go hiking. Join clubs that center around activities you like. Go to places you enjoy.
I am engaged now, but before I met my fiance I met guys in all kinds of places. I love live music and met guys at different night clubs and concert venues. I like races and met guys there. I didn't date all the men I met, but it got me comfortable with the new area and with flirting again after ending a long relationship myself.

I'm 37 and have been divorced for over a year now. I still to this date have not dated anyone. I think I've become to picky.
Perhaps the friends that you have now could introduce you to someone.
I've always avoided the internet dating because you just never know. I have a hard time investing money into something such as E-Harmony in order to meet someone. I have talked to some people online, but later found out that they were complete losers and I ended up being stalked.

Try going to clubs not to look for men but to have fun with your friends and I'm sure if someone spots you he'll come to you. Men like to hang around with women who know how to have fun. Being 40 is no difference from being 20. You meet men from everywhere , try to go to functions. I'm 41 been out from a very long relationship for 3 years now and started dating again. Don't rush someone will come along, just enjoy your freedom for now.

you are on fire at this age.you know what it takes to just rock.believe in yourself.since you are not new to sex ,find a mature person and have sex on first date without any hesitation.It will make you feel in control and boost your confidence .Try everything new especially the things you thought not ok.try all openings ;they give equal pleasure.yours is the age of liberation from shy hesitation,bold experimenting and having fun.One thing is sure men always love a women who gives in whole hearted into a sexual relationship -age notwithstanding.

i have been given married at 19 and my husband is eighteen years older than me and we were thankfully married for years so why not date someone older if the 18 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous is mature and ought to cope with it.

i've never been a bar person either. don't like people judging me on my looks.
internet chatting has been the best place for me to meet women. it's a great way to get to know someone first before deciding to meet. you can e-mail back and forth and really find out who they are, what they are like, what they value, what their interests are, what their wants and needs and expectations are in terms of a relationship etc.. i'd highly recommend looking online.

probably u won't be able to meet men even in night clubs, with all those young and hot babes as competitives. and in those dating agencies there re only losers - my friend is in all of them for 6 years, she always informs me about all her psychos and weirdos. normal man won't go to dating agency. learn how to live and enjoy withou a man. why the heck women even need a man? u can find a toy boy for f'u'c'k'i'ng
