I have watched it and i find it particularly amusing, as a Muslim myself. The Muslims they depict in that show are NOT religious. What kind of a Muslim would lie about renting a room for a mosque?
Secondly, most of the jokes are culture related. For example, in the first episode, the guy says something like, "Desperate housewives? Why are they desperate? They are only performing their god-given duty!"
This makes it sound as if all Muslim women are nothing but slaves to men, which is comepletely wrong.
However, they do counter-act the ill-concieved jokes with a Muslim feminist, who portrays the majority of Muslim women today. In the second epsode, she opposed the barrier in the mosques (which i support, because I'm much more comfortable behind a barrier, and I've noticed that, without one, people focus less on religion and prayer).
Honestly, the show is not that funny to me because I don't find the actors particularly entertaining. But I think it's a good inch toward the right direction towards exposing people more and more to REALMuslims in the media, instead of the usual terrorist figure. (Btw, they TOTALLY overused that joke in the show)

Yeah, this is humorous. i like that it places a comedic twist to Islam (no longer in a nasty way) and it makes human beings do not forget that Muslims are basically frequent human beings like all people else. yet, I accept as true with the first poster that a tremendous variety of stuff is faulty. social gathering, the relationship between Rayyan and Imam Ammaar isn't allowed in Islam. Ammaar, being an Imam, might want to already do not forget that. nevertheless a sturdy practice in spite of the undeniable fact that.

HITAN ( Democracy in Heaven )
--goal is to overthrow the CREATOR and install democracy in Heaven
I watch a few shows of it so far not as funny as Corner Gas; but still a good show.
It will allow more people to understand Islam with laughter

I can't get it because I don't have cable, but a friend watches it and from what she has told me it is very funny. I wish I could see it. It sound to me a bit like Whoopie Goldberg's show that was canceled. For those who don't know about it, it is on a Canadian station.
