Even if you don't go to a particular site, you can take a sentence or two (especially one of the more obtuse ones) and put it in a Yahoo search (with quotes around it). If 19 sites come up with that sentence, you can start checking to see if the rest of the paper is plagarized.

I would say take a sentence or part of a sentence and do a search, with that part in quotes, through Google or something. My husband did that once on a paper he suspected a student had plagiarized for and he ended up on the webiste where the kid had simply copied all the info.

I hope he really wrote it, but ...find a sentance you think he didn't write. Copy it, and paste it into the Google or AskJeeves search bar. You may need to do this several times with different sentances, but if he plagarized word for word...it will probably come up in the body of someone elses work online.

there is gradesaver.com
freeessays.com

that's all i can think of. but I would look up Quantum Mechanics on Yahoo and search the sites that come up. He could have pasted from different websites.

go online and type in the word "term papers" you will get tons of sites that offer college term papers and free paper...
you can also take a line or two out of his paper and typ it verbatim and use quotation marks on either side of the phrase and see if the phrase comes up online anywhere

Also this website has links to help you find plagarized work

http://www.plagiarismchecker.com/

Try that. Quantum mechanics might be kind of rare. It's best to ask some quantum mechanics professors in the area if they use any particular site.

there is a site called Turnitin.com and if you have an account and stuff, it can check how much of it has been plagiarized.
i hope that helps!

you could just have more faith in your son however, it sounds like he might deserve it.

I'm sorry but I dont' think there is such a thing...and maybe he did do it by himself. Just ask him to do one of the problems without the paper and see if he gets it.. then if he doesn't then he cheated.
