I'm Scottish and my teeth are not bad or my husbands and my kids teeth are perfect because we can afford to buy toothpaste and take the time to brush twice a day and visit dentist twice a year so not all "British" teeth are bad

oh Jesus Christ!!! It's all streotypical and a can't believe a citizen from such an intelligent country doesn't know this.
That guy who put on all the weight and holes in his teeth? Ok don't you think sane people know when they are getting fat or hurting their teeth. Whatever issues that guy has are his. It's not as if all we eat is fast food.
Personally I don't even know anyone with bad teeth and I am a freak when it comes to dental hygine.
"British teeth" is the same kinda thing as "fat americans". As if assuming WITHOUT FAT (on our part) that most of us have disgusting teeth? Think about it, and please don't consider my disagreement with you as angry patriotic thing. You want answers so I will give them to you and I've nothing against you asking.
But let's be fair the stupid comments others have made to you are just stupid. I'm British but I don't care about it.
British is the environment I grew in, not who I am

It's because we don't all carry guns like the americans, so we have to use our teeth as weapons and in self defence.
Actually "bad teeth" is a pan-european phenomenon, not just British.
We like to actually see the people we're talking to, and not just a frame of built up dentures and silicone padding.

Thats a bit offensive! not everyones are, mine are ok, other people in other countries may have bad teeth too. Perhaps its because no one can get on to an NHS dentist list and dental care isn't cheap! Your obviously not English, cause i couldn't understand your question properly. Stop offending us Brits, and stop asking stupid and pointless questions.

I don't know I hate to admit you are right, when I was growing up dental care was FREE in the UK yet I still had a mouth full of caps by thetime I was 21. I know we used to eat a lot of candy even after brushing the teeth. It might be multi factorial.

Such a sweeping generalization! That's like us saying all Americans are fat and eat fast food!
Have you met every single English person then? Lucky you or unlucky them can't quite make my mind up!

I'm not sure but from what I have read and heard the English don't feel the need to go to the dentists that much.
