I am a business man and travels most time. Can I forward a US number to my mobile number outside the us for free? Somebody help me please.

You could forward your US number to a mobile phone that you take overseas with you, however you will be charged roaming rates which could be as much as $3/minute. Forwarding may be included with your land line plan as a free feature, but you will still be charged for sending the calls overseas at the per minute long distance rate.

What I would do in your case is consider switching to a VoIP provider, such as Vonage. You can port your existing US number to Vonage and then take a portable Vonage device with you and you can use it anywhere in the world where you have access to an internet connection. It's the same low price no matter where you use it. Most hotels these days have free internet access in the rooms so you can plug your travel vonage device into it and voila, your phone is with you wherever you are. There are even cordless handsets now which work off of WiFi that let you take your Vonage with you even easier, using it off of free open hotspots.
