Well why did you ask this question here and not ask experts or go to an expert website?

How do you know there aren't experts here? And there are so many perspectives to choose from, not the narrow range you might find on a Christian, Muslim or atheist "expert" site. And some of the best wisdom can come from someone that no-one would normally consider an expert.
There's your answer.

This is our way of doing the interactive thing, since Yahoo is being a bunch of jerks about the message boards.
People like to go online to argue, to flame and to troll. It's human nature. Most of the population are not geniuses who sit around discussing philosophy all day long - so why does Yahoo get bent out of shape when their users' behavior reflects the behavior of the general population?
Besides, sometimes it's more fun to ask a smart-@ss question than a serious one. Sometimes it's more fun to give a smart-@ss answer than a serious one. Lighten up, everybody! Have fun with this!

I like to have many views. Oftentimes I ask a question that I already know the answer. It is just I want to ponder things from different ankles. And we have quite a lot of experts here too. : )

Who says they don't also go to experts sometimes?
And sometimes it's fun to get opinions, or to see if people in a particular group all or mostly feel a certain way. (I did that this morning, when I asked how Christians felt about the Blasphemy Challenge.)

Partly, because, believe it or not, there are some experts around here.
Partly, because not everyone here is looking for expert opinion, but to find out what others think, regardless of expertise.

I think people are just thinking out loud and testing the water, I think they may go on to an expert site after they have got some answers.
