What about the non Catholic Evangelical heroes Ted Haggart, Jimmy Swaggart, Jim Baker, Benny Hinn, and a THOUSAND other non-Catholic preachers?
Every religion has HYPOCRITES, because human beings make up religious membership.

You seem judgmental.
Something contrary to what Christ taught us.
Roman Catholicism is #1 in the major branch of Christianity
Christianity began in the 1st century AD as a Jewish sect, and shares many religious texts with Judaism, specifically the Hebrew Bible, known to Christians as the Old Testament (see Judeo-Christian).
There is a diversity of doctrines and practices among groups calling themselves Christian. These groups are sometimes classified under denominations, though for theological reasons many groups reject this classification system.Christianity may be broadly represented as being divided into three main groupings:
1) Roman Catholicism: The Roman Catholic Church, the largest single body, includes the Latin Rite and totals more than 1 billion baptized members.
2) Eastern Christianity: Eastern Orthodox Churches, Oriental Orthodox Churches, the 100,000 member Assyrian Church of the East, and others with a combined membership of more than 300 million baptized members.
3) Protestantism: Groups such as Anglicans, Lutherans, Reformed/Presbyterians, Congregational/United Church of Christ, Evangelical, Charismatic, Baptists, Methodists, Nazarenes, Anabaptists, Seventh-day Adventists and Pentecostals. The oldest of these separated from the Roman Catholic Church in the 16th century Protestant Reformation, followed in many cases by further divisions.
Estimates of the total number of
Protestants are very uncertain, partly because of the difficulty in determining which denominations should be placed in this category, but it seems to be unquestionable that Protestantism is the second major branch of Christianity (after Roman Catholicism) in number of followers.

Not all Catholics are hippocrites but Catholics are strong in their beliefs when it suits them. My grandparents are Catholics and they dont allow me to go to my friends churches because there not catholic only problem is most of my friends are black so they go to Baptist churches. Catholics are taught the catholic way and no other way.

It's actually the other way around. Most catholics do what Christ said, but no one notices them. The ones that are noticed are the ones in the news, and the ones who do evil. A group is protrayed by their worst, not their best.

Uh uh.... and your assumption that MOST cathoics are like this is supported by what compelling survey?
Sorry, but most Cathoics I know are not like that at all. Most that I know are quite giving and caring people.
I think your statement is not only false, but disingenuous in itself. It shows a prejudice that proves your lack of and willingness to support knowledge throug evidence.
Btw. I'm not a Christian. I'm not a Catholic. I'm a Pagan who knows many Catholics though, and most are not at all like you describe. Perhaps you might learn something by speaking to some of the people you so unjustly trashed.

because most of them are.......
I now consider myself a non practicing catholic for the very same question that your posting. Too many ppl "talk the talk" but rarely if ever "walk the walk". But it's not limited to just catholics, every major religion has it's hypocrites, from the preachers to the congregation, muslims, cathoilcs, buddist, you name it. It's in our nature to want to feel good and be forgiven for transgressions (gives you a warm fuzzy inside), but human beings are also creatures of habit, so the same ppl keep committing the same sin's over and over again. think of it like a bell curve, most ppl are decent enough but also have their vices too, only a rare few will be true practice-rs of whatever faith they'er in.......sry if i didn't answer your question.

Well , most is a big maybe. True many religions because of their failure to be resolute about moral things can definitely lead to hypocrisy.
--No matter what religion, you will find there are some hypocrites--but Jesus used that title mainly on the religious leaders who were indeed "serpents" "vipers", 'hypocrites" "blind guides", "white washed graves"--etc. The individual followers of the Jewish religious leaders, were rarely called hypocrites by Christ. If you notice he was mainly talking to them as a religious body--- Please look for the 5 connotations in the following texts:
(Matthew 23:23-33) “23 “Woe to YOU, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because YOU give the tenth of the mint and the dill and the cumin, but YOU have disregarded the weightier matters of the Law, namely, justice and mercy and faithfulness. These things it was binding to do, yet not to disregard the other things. 24 Blind guides, who strain out the gnat but gulp down the camel! 25 “Woe to YOU, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because YOU cleanse the outside of the cup and of the dish, but inside they are full of plunder and immoderateness. 26 Blind Pharisee, cleanse first the inside of the cup and of the dish, that the outside of it also may become clean. 27 “Woe to YOU, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because YOU resemble whitewashed graves, which outwardly indeed appear beautiful but inside are full of dead men’s bones and of every sort of uncleanness. 28 In that way YOU also, outwardly indeed, appear righteous to men, but inside YOU are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness. 29 “Woe to YOU, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because YOU build the graves of the prophets and decorate the memorial tombs of the righteous ones, 30 and YOU say, ‘If we were in the days of our forefathers, we would not be sharers with them in the blood of the prophets.’ 31 Therefore YOU are bearing witness against yourselves that YOU are sons of those who murdered the prophets. 32 Well, then, fill up the measure of YOUR forefathers. 33 “Serpents, offspring of vipers, how are YOU to flee from the judgment of Ge·hen´na?”
--Persons could have the traits of hypocrites, but when Jesus boldy called the religious leaders h.........he was indeed condemning them as a class and at times individuals, because they as a class and some individually murdered Christ.
--The clergy , ministers in religions that are payed for their services, certainly can and are for the most degree, motivated by greed. That can develope into power over the flock to seduce, abuse etc. So indeed, today if Christ were on the earth he would by all means reveal most of the "clergy, minister" class as hypocrites.

I don't know what you mean. I am Catholic, and the Catholics that I associate with are careful not to adopt a "Holier than thou" outlook, because, although we may go to Church, God sees and knows our intentions FOR OUR WHOLE EXISTENCE, not just an hour a week, and HE is ultimately the judge. So we have to act "Catholic" all day long, not just for an hour on Sunday.

There's a difference between culture and actual faith. Some people attend church because of family, tradition, and culture. Others truly believe and apply it to their daily lives.
