Everybody feels the same way, especially the first time. Like they say, babies don't come with an instruction manual, and you have to spend more time learning how to drive a car than you do being a parent! But we (mostly) get through it, one day at a time.
My boy is 7 years old and I still panic from time to time and worry about not knowing what to do. But my gut instinct usually has the right answer, and I've got lots of friends who are experiencing the same thing, which is reassuring.
Just take a deep breath, relax, talk to a friend or your own mom, or someone else who looks like they know what they're doing... or read a book, do a search on the internet... whatever will help you cope with whatever is in front of you at the time. You'll be okay.

I too was very nervous when I had my daughter. I had not been around infants very much prior to that and really didn't know what I was doing. The nurses in the hospital were very helpful with diapering and cleaning baby bottoms and keeping the cord dry, mixing formula, etc. Once I got my daughter home, my husband and I just looked at her and said to each other, OK, now what do we do? It was amazing, we got the hang of it real fast. My daughter is now 22 years old, so we must have done something right.

All parents are scared if they say they are not then they are lieing. just go with the flow it does get easier as time goes but never be afraid to ask questions even if you have to call every parent place there is in the phone book or or mom in the middle of the night. it's only natural to be afraid.

Its only natural to be afraid of the unknown. Just trust in youself and your abilities and you'll be fine. If you don't know something then ask for help. Good luck, try not to worry and just enjoy your baby

Honestly, by taking one day at a time. You don't have to know everything straight away, you have to be strong, and know that when you have your baby in your arms, your fears will melt away.
It is scary, but it gets easier, it really does :)
