A little won't hurt, but don't overdo it. Your engine and tranny can overheat, as there isn't enough air going in the front compared to the power you are using. Also, if one wheel is not spinning, the other is doing double what the speedometer says (35mph on the speedo means that tyre is doing 70), so be careful you don't overspeed the tyre and have a blowout - this can wreck your bodywork, and could cause you to lose control. And watch out for the cops - they'll come down on you like a ton of bricks if they catch you.

its called a limited slip rear end this will not hurt it but it puts torque on the other parts of you pickup like the shocks the tires the tie rods an the rear end. an if you are not carfull like one dude in new york doing cookies in a parking lot with a at that time new "cuda" he wrap ed it around a light pole in the parking lot, also if the cops catch you doing that and will be ticked for exibiton driving

Its not good for the truck, or for any vehicle, but I still do the exact same as you, you just have to not be suprised when something brakes because of it. I am a mechanic and I can get the parts for cheap and labour for free and do everything at my shop, its nice, I'm just waiting to blow up my rear end, just so i can replace it with one out of an explorer and with the rear disc brakes and 7.37:1 gears. Or if I blow my transmission/engine up, I'll replace them with a 5L out of an old mustang. If you do them wisely and don't hit anything, or strees the truck to much, you should be fine, but like alwasy with cars, expect the worst case senario.

I would becareful on doing doughnuts in the snow. have heard a few dakota owners talk about messing up there power steering pump from doing them for a long period of time. somethng about a shear pin or something in there. so if you dont spin around for a long time you will be safe.

all it will possibly hurt is your tires, but the dakota is a sturdy truck, the type of axle you have is an open differential. a posi would tie the axleshafts together like a locker would, and both tires would turn together.with an open diff, one tire would spin.

no ,it shouldn't hurt it as long as you don't slam it in to something ,or hit a dry spot,it should be ok,we all like to do the occasional dough nuts once in a while, just be careful ,and don't hit a light pole.remember each parking lot has the,,good luck ,and have fun.

its not great for your truck but i dont think you have too much to worry about. the one tire spinning makes the spider gears in the differential case spin fast. just remember that dodge autos are weak to begin with

It is fun and will wear badly on the truck...Especially if it is an automatic tranny.

Well in a way yes you can... you can knock your wheel alignment out of place lf you keep doing this. cause lf you hit a hard spot lf you bump into something or lf you hit a hard object. be careful!.
