We know what He did on each day. I am willing to believe that the plants and grass He created on the third day didn't need a heat or light source (our sun), simply because God provided that heat and light from His own Self. Yes, it doesn't make logical sense, and it's very unscientific. But God can do anything, so I will assume this until corrected by Him.
That isn't my question, though; that's just an attempt to head off the answers that will attempt to attack my question without even answering the original question.
What if God, since He's always existed, had already made the universe a trillion billion gazillion years ago, and had already filled some of it with life-supporting galaxies? What if He originally made the universe completely void, and one by one created these galaxies that may or may not have had intelligent life on one or more of the planets? It would be sort of like slowly scribbling over a huge blank chalkboard, one square inch at a time.

Genesis is so incredibly vague with so few details, so we don't really know if He started with us or not. It would certainly account for being able to make the world in six days (although I am not sure He did it in six literal 24 hour days, either). If He already had a working toolbox of DNA, colors, scents, etc., it would be easier than totally doing everything from scratch. I'm also not saying He couldn't do it from absolute scratch in six days! He IS God. But it's just a thought. What do you think?

The best way to go about resolving some of these questions is to see what God told us later in the books after Genesis. In Exodus 20, in giving the 4th commandment, God clearly told Moses that "For in 6 days the Lord made the heavens and the earth and all that is in them..." This verse clearly closes the loop and puts all speculations about the meaning of the word "day" in Genesis to rest. In fact, the word "day" in Genesis 1 is already very clearly defined no less than 6 times that it is an ordinary solar day by the qualifying words "evening and morning".

So with this understanding, the Bible says that the entire universe was made on the FIRST day together with the earth. In the beginning it was merely earth and the heavens (space). Only on the 4th day were the stars and other heavenly objects made. Thus the galaxies (clusters of stars) would only be in existence from the 4th day.

This is the first one and I have proof.
Genesis 6: When it came about that men started to grow in numbers on the face of the earth and daughters were born to them the angels started to notice the women that they were good looking and went taking wifes for themselfs. Jude 6 shows that was unnatural and they left heaven to do it.
So and issue had to be settled about God s right to rule the earth.
Had there been others in the Universe that issue of sovernity would have already been settled.
Revelation 12:7 It was so bad the angels were thrown out of heaven over it. Created a war in heaven.
I believe that after all wickedness is gone on the earth and the devil and his angels are gone that life will fill the Universe.
But right now we are just the start of humans living on the planets.
Good and Bad has to be established once and for all or the heavens would constantly be plagued with violence and war.

"Science proved that our galaxy is only 4.5 billion years old, and science proved that our universe is 13.7 billion years old." I'm afraid you're a little mixed up. The *Solar System* is 4.5682 billion years old. The *galaxy*, the Milky Way, is indeed 13.73 billion years old (or, let's say, 13 billion years old; galaxies didn't form for about a half billion to a billion years, the universe just existed as an increasingly fragmented soup of hydrogen).

Because I know Him I think He could have done it in 6 seconds.

We can "what if" God all day long, but there are somethings we will not know until we see Him. He even told us in many different ways that His ways are higher than our ways. It was the nicest way God could tell us that we aren't capable of comprehending it all.

God told us one thing about those galaxies, stars and the universe, He said He calls them all by name. I find it hard to remember one person that was introduced to me 5 hours ago, much less knowing the names of billions of stars. I can't comprehend that - too wonderful to me.

School children are taught the scientific explanation for the birth of the universe, and the subsequent formation of galaxies, in seventh or eighth grade. I suppose you were busy drawing hearts on your notebook covers.

Do you honestly think our academic community and government would invest lifetimes of research, and billions of dollars into space exploration, building telescopes and training scientists, if ANYBODY believed the universe was the work of some invisible, hocus-pocus, "figment of your imagination" deity?

Yeah, thats a tough question. We can scratch our heads for years and never know, many have already. I guess our biggest problem is we are trying to understand an 'infinite' God with our 'finite" minds. Doing this we can only stretch our imaginations.

No any true Christian will absolutely deny that empathetically. The only life that God ever created is right here on this Earth no other life is mentioned in the Bible so no other life exists period.

Yes,I think he created all the universe before earth, and I think He is still creating them,However I most certainly do think He did it all " from scratch"

Maybe, in between creating paedophiles and christian cults, he had some spare time. Who ever the drunken author was that dropped his rantings in the desert somewhere, must be very impressed with the impression his "book" has made.
