I was deleting some old programs i did not need in Add/Remove and when I was done i found that none of the icons on my desktop could move. If i clicked an icon so it was highlighted then tried to click and drag it it would not work. None of my icons will move at all. I do not have auto arrange on so i do not know what the problem is. I also can not drag programs from the "all programs" list onto my desktop. I have windows xp family and the other users on my computer were able to move the icons on their desktops. I tried deleting my account and starting a new one but nothing worked.

Right click your desktop, arrange icons and uncheck lock desktop.

Seems like your computer could contain a virus! Or, maybe that program you deleted contained special files that let you move your computer icons!
