My icons on my desktop have like a color blue in the background of the text....how do you take it off????

i want the background to disapear not a other color

You need to change the color underlying your desktop. Right click an open area on your desktop and select Properties (or open "display properties" from Control Panel), to open the display properties. Click the "desktop" tab and there is a box for you to select the background color.
