We shouldn't worship anything that we put our worship before the doing of God's will. If the government tells us to do someting that the bible says not to like thou shalt not kill.
We shouldn't do it.
John 14:6 Jesus said I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me.
But he didn't say he was the father.
1 Timothy 2:5 For their is one God and one mediator between God and men. A man Christ Jesus who gave himself a corresponding ransom for all.

Yup, first commandment all right and highest first law as you say. As for the Son, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, we must remember that God is a Trinity (Father, Son, and Spirit) much like we humans are made up of a trinity-body, soul, and spirit. Therefore, even though there are Three, yet they are One. So, you might say that we worship the Three in One, or the Trinity. The verse simply states that we must have no other gods before Jehovah (the Trinity), and if you go on further into the Ten Commandments, you will find that we are not to even worship *any* idols-not even if they are not before God. The LORD our God is indeed a jealous God. Praise Him!

It means there is only One God, the true One, Yahweh God, our Creator, our Father. We should worship Him alone and no one else, not the Son, Michael (Jesus), nor any other gods.
Yahweh God is Almighty God and Jesus, (Michael), is the mighty God.
Some people could benefit greatly with a proper Bible study.
The Jehovah's (Yahweh's) Witness organization can steer those with the proper heart condition into a clear understanding of God's Word, the Holy Bible.

1.) You shall have no other gods before me.
To the Christian, this means there will be no other God. Yet, in
the bible, the phrase is plural. I does not state that you will
not have another god, it says that you will have no other gods
before the Christian God.
In the case of the later, it could be interpreted to mean that
whereas other gods can be recognized, as a Christian, this person
should place YHVH ahead of all gods recognizing him/her as the
supreme being of all.

A god is what you worship. Some people worship food, drugs, sex, alcohol .... I believe that was the intention of that commandment. Nothing should be more important in your life than God.

Out of all the gods you worship, jehovah must be #1. You may worship additional gods, but jehovah must be the premier.

it means we should not worship money, or just stuff.
When we do that, God is usually put on the back burner and we are suppose to keep God number one in our lives..
