You should eat snacks. When you don't eat (like when you are sleeping) bacteria grow and form a film inside your mouth. The bacteria is what causes the smell. Chewing gum and mints can help a little but the best thing is to eat some food.

Flossing and tongue scrubbing is the key to getting rid of the bad breath. No one thinks about all the rest of the food caught between the teeth, its actually decayed food. It stinks!! and the tongue carried the biggest amount of bacteria. Make sure you brush and brush and brush your tongue and then gargle with a good mouthwash with alcohol. It will take care of it.

I saw on tv that the smell is caused cuz when yr tongue is in the mouth small bowl like shape is created. there the air is trapped and that makes yr mouth smell bad. Brush yr teeth at least 2 a day and use those thingys to get rid of germs on yr tongue(they sell them) and mouth wash. Also use dental floss. For a quick way of getting rid of bad breath is to drink water<<<<

Along with brushing your teeth and mouthwash make sure to floss. I also find that if you brush the roof of your mouth and your tongue your breath stays fresh longer. This is due to the fact that a majority of bacteria in your mouth resides on the roof of your mouth and on your tongue.

Gums and the tongue are the major source of bad breath so make sure you brush your tongue and gums. Brush with baking soda. Eat foods with mild smells. Avoid coffee.
