how do you say give to god that which is gods due alone

Jesus was *called* many things. It was never said he would be *named* Immanuel.

Because in Hebrew he was called Yeshua, which became the Greek Yisous in the Gospel which became Jesus in Latin. Its just like God has a lot of different names lik Dios, Theos and Allah, and that what ARabic speaking Christians call him, even Catholics

I would imagine,just lost in translation.Emanual means God with us.If A angel told me name my Son Emanuel I would.I am sure

Jesus is the Greek form of His Hebrew name which is Yeshua. Yeshua in Hebrew means 'salvation'.

Its just another name for Him, like Prince of Peace, Counselor, Redeemer, Savior, Lord, etc.

It's Emanuel (and it means'God with us'), and it's a title that he was bestowed in the older manuscripts. It's the writers way of connecting him to the earlier prophets writtings. Basically a way to say that he is the one true king that was spoken of.
