if it is real, go for it, if he is unhappy with her and wants you, then that is the way it is, if you like him and are afraid of hurting her... let it go, if she is a true friend she will understand, if not, you didn't need her in the first place, i know it may be hard to accpet, but that is the way life is, do what you need to do to be happy, because no one will do it for you

Simple ,,,, All you have to do is think about which friendship you value more ,,,, Usually a friend is a friend for life ,,,, Your going out with this guy would probably end that and then a few weeks down the road he's going to move on to greener pastures and there you'll sit ,,,, Friendless and no boyfriend ,,,, There is no law as Jrod (I wonder where he gets his information) suggests or grace period or waiting time for this sort of thing ,,,, If you go out with him at all it's going to look like to your friend that the two of you planned it ,,,, If he's going to do this to your friend then what makes you think he won't eventually do this same thing to you ,,,, So is the loss of a friend worth it ? ,,,, I take it by the very nature of your question that you are young ,,,, That being the case you are probably going to fall in and out of love a couple hundred times before you meet Mr Right ,,,, Friends are for ever if you take care of them ,,,, Relationships come and go and change like the weather ,,,, The choice is yours ,,,,

j-rod is right. 2 weeks minimum by man law standards. i would wait 3. how would you feel if you only waited two weeks. do not under any circumstances mention this to your friend. let the boy do the breaking up, itll be easier, plus you won't lose your friend. but to make sure that you keep your friend, wait until she is completely over it before you go out with him. you could crush her heart. =(

hope this helps.

man law currently states that you must wait a least two weeks before going out with a best friends ex girlfriend. I dont know what woman law says but I follow man law

lol This is like an episode of an afterschool program! You should never date someone your BESTFRIEND have dated because it cause problems (for instance, the problem you have now). I honestly think you should come to an agreement with your bestfriend and neither one of you should date him because you two might end up fighting over him and the guy will just sit back watching and laughing. Come on, girls need to stick together. Both of you girls should date DIFFERENT guys who doens't have history with either one of you.

Talk to him AND your friend. You could really get the answers you need. As for after the breakup, depends on her sensitivity. If she doesn't care, a month. If she's sensitive, REALLY sensitive, wait a while. Good luck!

that is kind of bad. but i guess you just need to wait and see. then if they brake up you should wait at least a week so that your friend does not blame you for the break-up because it could get ugly.

Relax, don't worry, and let things happen on their own. If it works, great; if not, consider it a learning experience. Keep in mind, your friend might not break up with him...
