You can, but you won't see any benefit at all from it. Don't worry about what Cody said, he's comically incorrect. Also Ramon isn't exactly right either. With computer controls in use today the old compression ratio argument is no longer true. We have cars today with 10:1 compression ratios or better that can still run on regular fuel. These days it has more to do with the spark timing and avoiding preignition. Most cars that have forced induction require the use of premium fuel, though with the advent of direct injection for gas engines, you do see some turbocharged cars that will run fine on regular.

The best gas you can buy is regular gas .The word Premium in misleading what they have done is , make it less willing to ignite.Because on some high compression engines regular gas has a tendency to ignite BEFORE the piston reaches the highest point, that is called knocking or Ping.Only if your hand book calls for Premium gas should you use it. Other wise it's a waste of money .

The Ford Expedition does not require Premium fuel so it will not help you. If you want to protect your engine, try using fuel from Shell or Chevron where they use additional detergents and additives that can prolong the life of you fuel lines, filters, and pump.

Use what the manufacturer suggest. You don't need the more expensive gas unless your car sounds like popcorn popping under your hood when you accelerate or climb hills. That's called detonation, premium will help this.

No, premium gas is bad for your catalytic converter, stay with regular unleaded.

If your car is made for unleaded and you constantly put premium in, your car will only be able to use premium in the future.

I would only use premium fuel if I had a bad spark knock.
Other than that, you are spending more money for nothing.
