God.
Here are a couple of quotes about God as Love from C. S. Lewis that I really like:
"He [God] has paid us the intolerable compliment of loving us, in the deepest, most tragic, most inexorable sense. .... Love, in its own nature, demands the perfecting of the beloved; ... mere "kindness" which tolerates anything except suffering in its object is, in that respect, at the opposite pole from Love."
"You ask for a loving God; you have one ... not a senile benevolence that drowsily wishes you to be happy in your own way, not the cold philanthropy of a conscientious magistrate, not the care of a host who feels responsible for the comfort of his guests, but the CONSUMING FIRE HIMSELF, the Love that made the worlds, persistent as the artist's love for a child, jealous, inexorable, exacting as love between the sexes..."
"The only place outside Heaven where you can be perfectly safe from all the dangers and perturbations of love is Hell."
With love in Christ.

Love is a willingness to give of yourself for the benefit of others. If you truly love someone, you will gladly sacrifice anything that you have for their happiness.
The opposite of love is lust. This is the putting one's selfish desires before the needs and desires of others. This basically adds up to hedonism in our modern society.

Wanna take bets on how many people say "God" or "Jesus" ?
Personally, I like Douglas Adams' idea that Love is a virus. In due time it runs its course and depending on the virulence of the strain, leaves the person miserable and broken for life, or they shrug it off and move on.

Love is when someone loves you so much they die so that you can live eternally. and even though you may not know this person or even notice them they notice you and their heart beats for u always. its also when someone just wants u to talk to them so badly just say one word and they'll be happy with that.

Love is an emotion of our souls, and our souls were the thoughts of God... therefore Love grows as the light of God shines within.
Love is like a plant, it's alive... water it, give it light and it grows.
