We fight a lot, and we've tried getting along and talking, but its never worked out. He's in my math class, and sits right behind me. Whenever my teacher tells me to answer a math problem, I freeze up and get nervous knowing my ex is listening... so of course, I confuse myself and make a fool of myself trying to think. My ex whispers,"She is SO stupid!" I get really embarrassed and dont know how to calm my nerves down and ignore him and move on. HELP!

He sounds really mean, and totally not worth your time. If he is making comments like that, it's just to hurt you. You've moved on, and he probably hasn't. And, of course, he's taking the immature route. He's probably hurt by your breakup and doesn't know how else to act. If I were you, and he said something like that during class, I would turn around and ask him why he's being such a jerk, reallllly loud, so everyone could hear. But, of course, that's just me. ;-) You need to gather up some confidence in yourself. Don't let him make you feel that way. You're a much stronger person than he is! Good luck!

Be the mature one. Take him aside where you can have a private conversation. Make it clear that you will not tolerate his immature behavior any longer. Let him know that you'd still like to know him but you just can't be around jerks, it's up to him to change.
If he doesn't change then let your teacher and the administration know of the situation. He's got to learn that this sort of abusive behavior is not acceptable.

You have to learn to detach and let go. You doesn't belong to him neither he to you. He is making things difficult for you because he 'hates' you for abandoning him for someone else. You should not be his victim of hatred. But just move on with your life and ignore him totally. Tell yourself he is a 'nobody' and he doesn't deserve to be noticed or felt by you anymore. Bear in mind, if he still likes you, he wouldn't whisper "....stupid". So, go on and proof to him that he will not affect you anymore.
