What should I do when I visit Ireland???

When should I visit it etcetera, where etcetra, and all that.

Fly into Dublin. There's tons of bus tours of Dublin to get a feel for the city. Then see the Book of Kells in the Long Library at Trinity College which is dead in the centre of Dublin.

Recommended pubs, off the tourist track:
The Porterhouse. Parliament St. A brew pub; makes some great beers. The Porterhouse Central. Nassau St. As above.

The big tourist thing to do is to vist the Guinness Storehouse at St James Gate and have a pint in their panoramic bar. Also the Jameson Whiskey Brewery on Whiskey Corner- Do the tour and get a whiskey appreciators certificate.

I'd opt for a visit to Newgrange (http://www.knowth.com/newgrange.htm), about 1 hour north of Dublin. It has a cuniform tomb that was built at the time of the druids and pre-dates the pyramids. It's really impressive. Or Glendalough (http://www.glendalough.connect.ie/), about an
hour south which is in Wicklow which itself is a lovely part of Ireland.

If you rent a car, try to get out to the Ring of Kerry. Ask which way the tourist busses go and drive in the opposite direction (it's a big circle) so you are not behind them, sucking up deisel fumes all day. Remember, they drive on the left!

Ireland is cool even in summer, but be advised that it is overcast or raining much of the time. It's what the Irish call a "soft" day, a light rain or heavy mist, but dress accordingly and bring or plan to buy an umbrella. I've usually been there in summer and never had trouble finding a B&B with a vacancy. Be warned: THE ONLY EDIBLE FOOD IS PUB FOOD.

ok i live in galway ireland thre so much to do if u decide to go to galway the west coast u must go too.........

the arann islands it realy wonderful place also conammara the trelve pins out their alot of irish people speak irish but aslo english its aslo great for fishing the nite life is great and the pubsa are great the irish muisc ect like tad , dublin as alot to offer but go to galway u fall in love with it like i did

it's best to visit in the summer, we usually have nice weather and it's never too hot. you should definitely got to cork and make your way down to west cork and the islands. you should go to kerry aswell and visit killarney and dingle and the nice quiet towns around the coast
