actually I don't think they sell kosher marshmallows but you could make them. All kosher really means is that a rabbi has blessed it. It has nothing to do with the making of the product. So you want kosher marshmallows, apple pie, ice cream, liver and chopped onions; find a rabbi.

I had some hot chocolate at Christmas time & that's the last time I ate a marshmallow. It was the little ones, disintegrating in the mug & those I can deal with. The only time I like the big marshmallows are when they're cooked to black on the outside (at a campfire) & they're all melting and gooey on the inside.

If you are looking for kosher marshmallows, avoid the Campfire brand--the gelatin is made from pork skins! No wonder there's no kosher symbol on the package!

Most are not because they contain gelatin, which is made from animals. I you want kosher marshmallows, look for a rabbinical symbol on the package...OU, Parve, cleft K, etc.

Yes, they are just whipped sugar corn syrup, and cornstarch. Unless they're now dipping them in lard, adn I hadn't heard about it...
