I have a Kodak Easy share that I purchased about 3 months ago... And it came with a program to save pictures on to my computer.. I am sure most of you now this... But can anyone tell me if I am able to get these pics saved on to a data disk somehow so that I can still have them, but I want to clean up my software... I have over 1000 pics stored all of which I want to keep of course, but because tehre are so many my computer is running a lot slower than it should... (I know that my computer is fine.. we only purchased it about 3 months ago too.) Needless to say some of these pics need to be taken off without getting rid of them completely.. Can anyone tell me how I can do this.... what do I use (name type.. etc..), and how do I use it???

How many photos on your PC should not affect the speed of your PC. You can burn them to a CD or DVD any time you wish using XP's writing utility. You should instead be looking for the cause of the slow down. You should check your PC for spy-ware and any unnecessary programs that are running in the background. Try the links below for anti spy-ware and a trial clean up utility to recover some speed. Good luck!

Having them on your computer shouldn't slow it down unless you're running out of disk space. I've got over 10,000 pictures and 2000 songs on my computer and it isn't any slower than when there weren't any. Slowness may be a different issue.

As to getting the pictures off, you'd want to burn them to a CD or DVD. Do you have a CD/DVD writer? If not, get one. The CD writer is fairly cheap (< $40) and installs easily.

Once installed, use the software that comes with it to burn a CD of your pictures, then they can be removed from the computer. Easyshare _may_ have a burning option, I don't remember, but isn't really needed for this.

I have one. For what you opt on, the Kodak user-friendly percentage will be superb. they're a stunning good digital camera for prevalent image taking. I have a fabulous digital camera and a digital video digital camera that takes better high quality stills, yet i don't love taking them when I take my son to the zoo, to activities, etc because i'm too fearful of negative them. I finally end up usng my user-friendly percentage far better many times. The Kodak easyshare is hardship-free, and easy to apply. It takes exceptionally solid images, regardless of the reality that usually you ought to attempt the quite a number of flash settings in dim mild to confirm out which will artwork best. regardless of the indisputable fact that it gives you wonderful adequate images, regardless of the indisputable fact that it's not so outrageously priced that you will be afraid to take it places.
