No, Saddam was hanged because he was found guilty of mass murder and convicted in a court of law.

ROTFLMFAO... HE was hung for working with the americans in the past. HE was not tried in a court of law. That court was a mockery of justice even a mass murderer in Texas would have had a fairer trial. Saddam was not tried properly, when you can't even protect defence attorneys from being killed for representing a person on trial. the trial should be moved to a venue that protects all involved. dubya wanted to get rid of Saddam before he lost the war to the rebels and the rebels had a chance to reinstate Saddam thats all it was.

In a way, definite. He became hanged becasue united statesa. created a monster, alongside with very almost each western potential and china, india, canada.. all of them offered him chemical substances that he used to gas the kurds and iranians. for sure even as iran presented this to the UN each u . s . voted it down. good old double criteria. also, i'm especially certain Saddam became interior of his complete criminal acceptable as a dictator to kill his personal human beings.
